You know those stories or moments with your kids that you never want to forget? The funny things they do at some point in their childhood that you think you will always remember?
My boys LOVE tape. Scotch tape. They love wrapping presents and every seam on the paper will be covered in tape. Jackson decided this year that he would give Max his Superman cape for Max's birthday.
Because, "I don't really like it that much anymore Mom. I really don't." This was said a bit like he was trying to convince himself.
I asked Max to help me with something (can't remember what it was now). His response: "Okay Mom, I can because I'm 5 now."
As though whatever it was he could not have helped me with it when he was 4 years and 364 days, lol!
This morning I got up and did my hair and put on some makeup. I got dressed in clothes I reserve for going-out-in-public days. I would be doing laundry all the time if I wore them frequently. And yoga pants are perfect for at home days right?
Anyhow, Max looks at me and says, "Mom, why are you wearing those fancy clothes?" Could it be that my kids see me in those aforementioned yoga pants a little too often? So often that now, the nice shorts and shirt I am wearing today seem like fancy clothes?
But I guess, thanks Max for the compliment, lol!
