We decided to carve our pumpkins the Sunday before Halloween, since they survived longer than we thought they would last year. The boys were champs and actually stuck their hands in this year and helped pull out all the pumpkin guts. I remember Mike and I commenting last year that we might not get pumpkins because the boys were no help with them. We like the pumpkin seeds though, and the nostalgia of carving pumpkins, so back to it for Halloween 2014. And, low and behold, Jackson and Max changed their tunes and dug into some guts.
I never did get pictures of the finished pumpkins, but we had fun picking out what pictures we would carve into the pumpkins. Max chose a ghost and Jackson a scary face. They lasted through Halloween, although we kept them in the cool house till then.
This year for Halloween, we had two ninjas for the first party, which I don't think I got pictures of. Jackson was a black ninja and Max a red ninja. We also had a little Superman, all thanks to our cousins Rhetta and Aaron Leonard:) Can you see how dirty the tops of his feet are from crawling all around the floor at the party? Gross!
For Halloween night, we had a black ninja for the second time, and a Thor, which was what Max was last year too. Thankfully, he decided to leave the Thor hammer at home for the trick-or-treating.
The boys had a ton of fun trick-or-treating. We went with our friends, Ms. Angie, Hudson, and Hadley. And the boys made it probably half of the way around our big circle, with lots of candy in tow. Don't worry, they are already over it. No idea what I am going to do with all the candy we have left!
